ENG. Alicia an Glen from the band Diamondwolf asked me to do the art for their t-shirt. It was really fun to do it and kind of challenging, because I don’t usually make vector illustration. I always work with a lot of colors and this time I had to limit myself to maximum 8 colors for screen printing, but in the end I loved the result. One of their ideas was the reference to the iron maiden typeface, which was another big challenge ‘cause I had to work on the lines and illustration style to match the the typography without it becoming alien to me. At first I didn’t know how it would look, but I think it is a rather interesting allusion and gave to the artwork a special touch.
I love this great female wolf, she’s so fearless, so self-confident,and I know she is also very loving and compassionate.

ESP. Alicia y Glen de la banda Diamondwolf me pidieron hacer una ilustración para una playera. Fue muy divertido y algo retador porque no suelo trabajar ilustraciones vectoriales complicadas, además siempre uso mucho color y esta vez tuve que limitarme, pero al final me encantó el resultado. Una de sus ideas fue la referencia a la fuente tipográfica de Iron Maiden, lo cual representó otro gran reto, pues tuve que trabajar en el estilo y los trazos de manera que la ilustración se acoplara y se viera bien con esa tipografía, pero sin que se convirtiera en una pieza ajena a mí. Al principio no tenía idea de cómo luciría, pero creo que fue un guiño interesante y le dio un toque especial.
Me encanta esta figura de la loba, muy segura, fuerte y valiente y al mismo tiempo cariñosa y compasiva.
